Position:  School Climate, Culture, and Safety Specialist
Reports to: Principal
Terms of Employment:  10 months
Pay Grade:  Beginning $35,000 
Pay Range:  $35,000 to $58,240 annually
FLSA Status:  Exempt

 

 

 

Nature of Work

The Climate, Culture, and Safety Specialist will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to live a rewarding life in an ever-changing world. To oversee the implementation of MTSS (behavior and social-emotional), including PBIS, Restorative Practices, and behavioral management, including ISS. In addition, the Climate, Culture, and Safety Specialist will oversee the school's safety plan.

Physical Requirements

Duties performed typically in school settings include classrooms, gyms, cafeteria, auditorium, and recreational areas.  While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hand, and talk or hear; light lifting up to 40 pounds and other limited physical activities are required.
